Aim (Full-Round Action)
Effect: To Aim, you must be wielding a ranged weapon. As a full-round action, you may Aim at a single target. You are granted a +2 circumstance bonus on your next attack roll. If you perform any other actions before making your attack or if you attack a different target, the bonus is forfeited. However, you may take a Ready action to attack that target and still gain the +2 bonus so long as you perform no other action before the attack is triggered. Remember that circumstance bonuses (unless otherwise noted) stack with each other, so bonuses from other sources (such as using a sighting macroscope or the retractable stock on a blaster rifle) with usually add to this bonus.

Example: A sniper is preparing to attack a terrorist who has taken hostages. On the first round, he takes the Aim action and designates that terrorist as his target. On the second round, he may either attack immediately or he may Ready an action to fire at that terrorist later (such as when the terrorist starts to harm a hostage) -- in either case he receives a +2 circumstance bonus to the attack roll. If he takes any other action before making the attack or if he attacks a different target, he gains no bonus to the attack roll.
